Take a look inside the new, improved Hayward Field originally appeared on NBC Sports Northwest
Historic Hayward Field, home of the University of Oregon Track & Field team, has undergone a historic facelift.
It’s been a long process that started back in Summer 2018. The fully-funded project by Phil and Penny Knight and more than 50 other donors has transformed the original stadium from 10,500 seats to now 12,650 with the ability to expand to 25,000 for larger events.
The outside looks absolutely stunning.
Now, we get a look on the inside.
The University of Oregon is used to high class, top of the line, jaw-dropping facilities: The Marcus Mariota Performance Center features spas, a napping room full of pods, a boxing ring, barber…
The Oregon Track & Field team and other student-athletes were finally able to see their new home and responded very positively on social media.
