A look back at Tennessee’s win against Kentucky in 1998

No. 3 Tennessee (7-0, 3-0 SEC) will host No. 17 Kentucky (5-2, 2-2 SEC) Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Week 9.

Kickoff between the Vols and Wildcats is slated for 7 p.m. EDT (ESPN).

Saturday’s game will mark the 119th meeting between the two schools. The Vols hold an 82-26 advantage in the all-time series. The teams have played to nine ties.

This installment will revisit the Vols’ 59-21 win against Kentucky in 1998.

The Vols led 14-7 in the first quarter. Tennessee outscored Kentucky, 24-0, in the second quarter.

Quarterback Tee Martin recorded two rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown to Cedrick Wilson. Wilson recorded four receptions and 100 receiving yards.

Martin completed 13-of-20 passing attempts, totaling 189 yards.
