Lockett, Moore, Davis named MS/AL All-Stars

Jan. 22—Three area standouts have been selected to play in this year's Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Basketball Games.

Starkville's Tootie Lockett and Tishomingo County's Reese Moore are on Mississippi's girls roster. On the boys side, Oxford's D.J. Davis was one of the 12 players chosen to represent the state.

The MS/AL games, which feature the top seniors from each state, will be played March 9 at Mississippi College in Clinton.

Lockett, a guard, averages 15.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.0 steals per game for Starkville (17-3).

Moore, also a guard, is averaging 16.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game for Tishomingo County (18-3).

Davis, a combo guard, leads Oxford (13-9) with 23.1 points per game. He also averages 7.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.7 steals.

Raymond's Tony Tadlock is head coach for the boys team, while Alphaka Moore of Natchez will lead the girls. New Site's Byron Sparks was selected as assistant coach for the girls team.
