Bethany Christian 7, Fort Wayne Crusaders 5

Bethany kicked off its season with a 7-5 win. The Bruins trailed 5-3 before scoring four runs in the fifth. Carter Miller earned the win, striking out three in the final three innings.

New Prairie 5, Goshen 1

Goshen fell in its home opener Monday, falling to New Prairie 5-1. Kyan Miller gained the loss, giving up four runs and six hits while striking out six. Colton Rapp drove in the RedHawks lone run.

Westview 13, NorthWood 0

Westview kicked off it's 2024 campaign with a 13-0 shelling of NorthWood. Max Engle pitched five innings on the mound, allowing one hit and striking out seven. Micah Miller went 3-3 in the box, hitting a double and a home run while bringing in six runs.


NorthWood 3, Tippecanoe Valley 0

NorthWood opened up it's new season with a home-opening 3-0 win over Tippecanoe Valley. The Panthers were led by Adriana Beachy who went 2-2 in the box but pitched a complete game, giving up seven hits, walking one and striking out 11.

Fairfield 11, Northridge 5

Fairfield got its first win of the season, beating Northridge 11-5 being Faith Berkey who brought home the win. Madison Jones hit a home run and Jayslynn Hall went 2-4 on the night. The Falcons scored the final eight runs of the night and took the lead in the fourth. Northridge outhit Fairfield 11-8 but committed four errors.

Jimtown 10, Goshen 2

Goshen scored two runs in the first inning Monday night, but committed five errors in a 10-2 loss to Jimtown. Julie Branam and Emily Ramirez drove in runs for the RedHawks which moved to 1-1.

Wawasee 13, Lakeland 10

Wawasee earned its first win of the season Monday, beating Lakeland 13-10. The Warriors scored in all but one inning, piling up 13 hits to counter five errors. After trailing 7-6 entering the sixth inning, the Warriors scratched across six runs the rest of the way.


Goshen 5, Elkhart 0

Goshen girls tennis started 1-0 with a 5-0 win over Elkhart, winning each match in straight sets.
