Liverpool v Brentford: Pick of the stats

  • Liverpool have gained the most points from losing positions in the Premier League this season (11) and have only lost one of their past 10 games when falling behind (W4 D5) - the controversial 2-1 defeat by Tottenham in September.

  • Brentford have won their past three Premier League matches, scoring at least twice in each.

  • The Reds have won all eight of their games at Anfield this season, all by a margin of two or more goals. Only from May to October 1980 have they ever won nine consecutive home matches by at least two goals.

  • Of Brentford's past 15 league victories, 14 have come in London - the exception being a win at Southampton in March. Since the start of last season, the Bees have only won two of their 16 games outside the capital (D6 L8).

  • Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has scored (15 goals) or assisted (three goals) in his past 14 home Premier League appearances. Only two players have ever done so in 15 in a row – Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry.

  • Brentford striker Neal Maupay has been involved in a goal in his past three league games (one goal, two assists), after not scoring or assisting in any of his previous 30. The Frenchman hasn’t scored in consecutive appearances since December 2021.
