COLUMBIA – Jason Brown will now get his turn.

The St. Francis (FCS) senior transfer will get his first career start at quarterback for South Carolina against Florida Saturday night (7:30 p.m., SEC Network) inside Williams-Brice Stadium.

Behind Zeb Noland and Luke Doty, Brown will be the third different starting quarterback for the Gamecocks in 2021.

Brown came in the game at Texas A&M in the fourth quarter two weekends ago, flashing some positive aspects. He threw for 84 yards, one touchdown while tossing two interceptions, one of which was not his fault.

How efficient with the offense he can be will be intriguing to watch, especially against a stingy Florida pass defense.
