The Little Buckeye Children’s Museum announced that is changing its name to Buckeye Imagination Museum as it prepares to move into its new facility at 175 W. Third St. later this year.

“Little Buckeye Children's Museum is evolving. We are changing our name, but not our vision, mission, or commitment to the community. We will continue be a safe and fun place for your family to play,” Fred Boll, executive director, said.

The children’s museum is preparing to move into its new 30,000-square-foot building just two blocks away at 175 West Third St. in downtown Mansfield’s Imagination District beside the Renaissance Theatre.

Time for museum to 'grow up'

“Little Buckeye isn't ‘little’ anymore,” Operations Manager Shawnda Schneider said.

“With our move to a bigger building, we decided it was time that Little Buckeye Children's Museum grow up — right alongside your kids," Boll said.

“We know kids don't always like being called ‘little.’ And since play is good for kids of all ages, we decided to change our name, so your kids feel more comfortable playing with us,” Boll said.

Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, now Buckeye Imagination Museum, will be moving out of its rented West Fourth Street location later this year.

Museum will have its own parking lot, elevator

Customers will find that the new building houses all of their favorite exhibits, plus some new ones, and will also come with the added benefits of a dedicated parking lot and a working elevator.

Any Little Buckeye Children’s Museum memberships, gift certificates, and passes will continue to be honored as normal.
