Filip Lissah has signed a new long-term contract with Swansea.

The defender, 19, has been a key figure for the club's Under-21s this season and made his first team debut in the FA Cup against Bournemouth in January.

And the club have announced that Lissah has signed a new deal with the Swans until the end of June 2027.

The club also have an option to extend the contract by an additional year.

"Since I arrived at the club it was clear that Filip is a young player with a real desire to fulfil his potential," said Swansea City academy manager Gavin Levey.

"Anthony Wright and the Under-21s' staff have been hugely impressed with Fil’s progress and have been a huge influence on the decision to move Filip into the first-team environment.

"The relationship between the academy and first-team staff is key and enables us to commit our best young talents like Filip to the club with a clear pathway for him to work towards."
