Lily Collins Stuns in a Knotted Cutout Gown at the "Emily in Paris" Season 3 Premiere
Bonjour to Lily Collins, and Lily Collins only. After seeing Lily's wow-worthy entrance at the Emily in Paris world premiere on December 7, we are officially fans of the midriff-baring, knotted trend.
ICYMI, Netflix's beloved rom-com is back on December 21 for its third season, and we couldn't be more excited to see our fave Parisians (and une américaine) back in action. When we saw Emily last, there were multiple cliffhangers left to be solved and many outfits left to be worn. But lucky for us, the streaming giant had already renewed Emily in Paris for seasons 3 and 4, so we knew they wouldn't leave us hanging. Breaking away from her titular character's colorful and fun fashion aesthetic that's featured throughout the series, Lily chose to wear a chic and neutral maxi dress to the event held at Theatre Des Champs Elysees.
Rocking a floor-length gown that Em's très chic boss Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) would surely approve of, Lily walked the red carpet solo, stopping for photos and autographs with fans. She effortlessly gave off cool-girl vibes in a draped, tawny gown designed by French fashion house Saint Laurent. Knots at the chest and hips created a ruching effect, while a single knotted belt tied around her waistline and emphasized the triangular cutouts in the bodice. The back of the dress continued the theme of peekaboo details, with a keyhole design at the neckline prominently displayed when Lily turned around. The actress added a touch of glam to her dress by wearing chunky, gold bangle cuffs over the gown's long sleeves. For beauty, Collins wore her shoulder-length brown hair down in loose waves with the classic French girl staple of blunt bangs (which we see Emily cut in the EIP S3 trailer!). A warm brown and glittering pink eye shadow look, vampy dark red lip, and dark brown mani completed the 'fit.
