Leonard Fournette buys linemen custom Rolexes

As a gift for helping him crack the 1,000 rushing mark as a rookie, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette bought Rolex watches for each offensive lineman who started a game for the team this season.

The watches -- engraved with each player's number and initials -- are expected to be delivered on Friday. Left tackle Cam Robinson, left guard Patrick Omameh, center Brandon Linder, right guard A.J. Cann, right tackle Jermey Parnell and reserves Tyler Shatley and Josh Wells will each receive one.

"Just to show them the dedication and all the hard work they put in to help me to get me where I'm at and also for this team," Fournette told reporters Thursday. "Their hard work doesn't go unnoticed."

The fourth overall pick in the 2017 draft, Fournette finished the regular season with 1,040 rushing yards and nine scores. The 22-year-old had 596 yards through just six games, but ankle and quad injuries limited him down the stretch, keeping him out of two games. He was also suspended one game by the Jaguars for violating team rules.

"I couldn't do it myself," Fournette said of reaching the millennial mark. "I can't block 11 guys on my own. That's the O-line, and wide receivers, too. They played a big part of contributing to me getting 1,000 yards."

The six-foot, 240-pound back intends to continue crossing that milestone on an annual basis, but he wouldn't commit to any future gifts.

"We'll see how it goes," he said.
