Lefty freshman throws second complete-game shutout

The Razorbacks softball pitching staff is filled with stars, and one of them is a freshman.

Arkansas opened the Woo Pig Classic at Bogle Park with a 4-0 win over Iowa State.

Left-handed freshman Robyn Harris pitched seven innings against Iowa State and finished with 12 strikeouts, allowing only one run after facing 26 batters. It was the third time this season Harris finished with double-digit strikeouts. She only gave up a single in the fifth season.

The Hogs’ pitching staff has been lights out this week. Delce was named National Pitcher of the Week, leading a shut-out against Drake. As a staff, they have a 1.98 ERA and 136 strikeouts.

At the plate, the Hogs tallied four runs on 10 hits. Rylie Hedgecock hit a home run, her sixth of the year. Raigan Kramer also hit her second home run of the season.

The Razorbacks walk into the weekend on a five-game win streak. The Woo Pig Classic continues for the Hogs with a doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, including another game against Iowa State.
