LeBron James reacts to Trae Young’s performance in Game 1 vs. Bucks

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks is in the books, and Trae Young delivered an exceptional performance.

Young, appearing in his first career playoffs, has guided Atlanta so far in the postseason.

The Hawks, the fifth seed in the East, has topped the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers, with the latter being the No. 1 seed.

Entering Game 1 against the third-seeded Bucks, the Hawks faced the challenge of playing on the road against a squad headlined by Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Young, however, shined the most out of the star talent involved.

In 41 minutes, the 22-year-old guard dropped 48 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and a steal while shooting 17-of-34 overall (4-of-13 from deep) and 10-of-12 from the charity stripe.

The Hawks extracted a narrow 116-113 win to take the series lead, and Young’s scintillating outing had LeBron James reacting on Twitter in awe with an expletive:

This tweet came shortly after Young threw a lob to teammate John Collins off the backboard and after Young shimmied during a 3-point attempt.

James used the snowflake emoji as a reference to Young’s nickname of “Ice Trae”, and if Young can continue to perform like this, the Hawks can ice the series, too.
