LeBron & Bronny James intrigue remains impossible to ignore before NBA draft

USC men’s basketball is having a miserable season, but will this lost year for Trojan hoops affect Bronny James’ future? It’s a very interesting question. LeBron James wants to play with Bronny in the NBA, but Bronny’s health complications shortened this USC basketball season. Bronny has played like a player who is behind schedule due to his cardiac arrest episode and the inability to train during the summer. Bronny would certainly seem to need another year of college ball to sharpen his game for the pros.

However, LeBron could simply tell NBA teams that he will sign with the franchise which drafts Bronny. LeBron could thereby raise Bronny’s draft value by orders of magnitude. Teams might regard Bronny as a low-value prospect, but if LeBron is part of a two-for-one deal, they will take on Bronny just to bring in LeBron.

Does LeBron want to do this in 2024, knowing Bronny is not yet ready for the NBA, or would LeBron be willing to wait one more year? Again, it’s a very interesting question, and the discussion around this topic is not going to die down anytime soon.
