Lebanon's Myers places sixth at State Bowling

Feb. 22—Lebanon's Gannon Myers placed sixth in the state at the Indiana High School Bowling State Finals on Feb. 18 in Anderson.

The effort was the end of a strong post-season for Myers.

He finished second in the Wabash Valley South Conference Sectional, shooting a 586 for his three qualifying games to be seeded first, then placing second in the step ladder format.

Next at the Crawfordsville Regional, Myers placed fourth. He shot 585 during the qualification rounds, before falling 191-143 in the step ladder.

At the Terre Haute Semi-State, Myers placed ninth with a qualifying score of 540 to advance to the State Finals.

At State, he shot an 823 (220-234-160-209) to place sixth, missing out on the top-4 step ladder by just 10 pins.

For his efforts, Myers earned honorable mention All-State honors.
