Le’Veon Bell signing with Kansas City Chiefs

Talk about going from the outhouse to the penthouse.

That’s what Le’Veon Bell has maneuvered himself into doing. The turbulent running back, who was cut by the New York Jets this week is going to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, per NFL.com.

The running back who has run out his welcome with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets now moves on to the Super Bowl champs, who are 4-1. The Jets, meanwhile, are 0-5 and seem headed for a battle for the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

And this would make it official:

In Kansas City, Bell joins Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and first-round pick RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, on an explosive offense.

From the timing is everything dept., Bell would face his former team on Nov. 1 when Gang Green travels to Kansas City. That should be plenty of fun.

Edwards-Helaire, a rookie from LSU, leads Kansas City in rushing with 344 yards. He had 81 carries. After that, Mahomes is second on the Chiefs with 24 carries and 129 yards.

The Chiefs rank 13th in the NFL in rushing as a team.

Bell played in 17 games as a Jet. In two games this season, he has 74 rushing yards.
