Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James wants students at his I Promise School to look good when they are walking the halls. To ensure that, James provided the school with 800 pairs of LeBron 16 sneakers.

James provided the students with “10 different colorways to choose from”, according to the LeBron James Family Foundation on Facebook. The shoes were meant to motivate students to “keep pushing.” The LeBron 16 is listed for $137.97 on Nike’s website.

The 34-year-old James confirmed the news on Twitter, saying he wanted the students to “walk and learn in style.”

James opened up the I Promise School in Akron, Ohio in 2018. The school has gotten off to a promising start.

Prior to the first day of school in 2018, James said the I Promise School opening would be “one of the greatest moments [if not the greatest] of my life.”
