Lane Kiffin makes joke about Donald and Melania Trump over LeBron James tweets
What you’re about to read is going to sound like a wacky sports mad lib, but it’s not. Florida Atlantic University coach Lane Kiffin trolled President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump after the two tweeted differing opinions about Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. That actually happened.
What did Lane Kiffin tweet at Donald Trump and Melania Trump?
He tweeted “#problemsathome” with a broken heart emoji at both of them.
#Problemsathome 💔@MELANIATRUMP @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/3hGyYcPmIp

Kiffin retweeted a story from Sporting News about Melania Trump praising LeBron James for opening his I Promise school. Donald Trump has taken swipes at James on Twitter.
LeBron James and Donald Trump have a history on Twitter
Prior to his presidency, Trump actually supported James on Twitter. But James has been outspoken about the president’s policies, once calling him a “bum” for disinviting the Golden State Warriors to the White House.
U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!

That comment may have caused Trump to change his mind. He took a dig at James’ intelligence in a tweet almost a year later.
Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!

What is Melania Trump’s role in Lane Kiffin’s tweet?
The First Lady wasn’t as combative with James. She complimented James opening his I Promise School and added she would be open to visit.
Oh boy. After President Trump insulted LeBron James, Melania Trump issues a statement saying she’s open to visiting the school he just opened in Ohio. pic.twitter.com/t0eJ4oDrxq

Not the first time Lane Kiffin has been a Twitter comedian
Kiffin is no stranger to trying to be funny on Twitter. His most frequent target might be Alabama football coach Nick Saban. He’s also made one ill-advised joke about a point spread. His tweet that included Donald and Melania Trump is pretty much par for the course for him.
