After spending the last 11 days on the road in the middle of winter, the Los Angeles Lakers have one final game before they head back to Los Angeles. The Lakers close out their seven-game road trip tonight against the Atlanta Hawks, who have expectations to make the playoffs for the first time in several years after spending a lot of money in free agency.
One of those key free-agent acquisitions, Bogdan Bogdanovic, suffered a fractured knee a few weeks ago and is still working his way back to health. One of the players who emerged during Bogdanovic’s absence, DeAndre Hunter, had a procedure last week and will be re-evaluated next week. The Hawks also paid handsomely to bring in Rajon Rondo, who was a key part of the Lakers’ run towards the championship in the NBA Bubble.
