The Los Angeles Lakers visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, moneyline odds and over-under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet on BetMGM.

The game tips off at 8 p.m. ET and can be seen on Spectrum SportsNet (LA) and Fox Sports North (MIN).

The Lakers will be taking the floor without star big man Anthony Davis, who is set to be out for an extended period due to a calf strain he aggravated against the Nuggets. The Timberwolves have lost four of five, and suffered a 36-point loss in Staples Center against the Lakers in December. Minnesota will be missing Jarrett Culver and D’Angelo Russell, who have both been ruled out for Tuesday.

The lines, courtesy of BetMGM

  • Point spread: Lakers -6.5

  • Money line: Lakers -275 / Timberwolves +220

  • Over-under: 223.5

Advice and prediction

The Lakers have a nasty habit of allowing teams they should be blowing out to hang around in games, usually relying on the heroics of LeBron James to bail them out in the second half. With Russell out for the woeful Timberwolves, however, and the Lakers healthy outside of the injury to Davis, I think the defending champs make easy work of their trip to the Target Center. Take the Lakers -6.5.

For the total, the Lakers have been one of the best teams to bet the under on all season – but that has changed lately. The over has hit in each of the Lakers’ last five games – but the Timberwolves have a bottom-five offense. I don’t see Minnesota breaking 100 on Tuesday, even without Davis in the lineup. Take the Under 223.5.

Prediction: Lakers 114, Timberwolves 96
