Lakers news: Anthony Davis, LeBron James to play Monday vs. Blazers

The Los Angeles Lakers will have their big guns on Monday night as they continue the regular season against the Portland Trail Blazers. Monday’s game is the second of a back-to-back stretch after the Lakers blew out the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. In Sunday’s game, LeBron James turned an ankle but finished the game, while Anthony Davis missed the game completely with a “calf strain.” Against the team they beat in five games in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, the Lakers will have both of their stars in the lineup.

Davis and James will play on Monday night against Portland, according to head coach Frank Vogel. Alex Caruso, however, will miss Monday night.

The Lakers have looked great in their last two outings, winning their last two games by a combined 59 points after losing the season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Blazers enter Monday night with a 1-1 record, including a blowout loss to the Jazz in the opener and an overtime victory over the Houston Rockets on Saturday night.
