The NBA has dealt with a major surge of players entering health and safety protocols due to COVID-19.

HoopsHype totaled the number of players out to 126 as of Dec. 27 as more and more players and coaches enter the protocol during the holiday season.

Some teams have been able to avoid a big outbreak, but that has not been the case for the Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron James first entered the protocol on Nov. 30 but that was because of a false-positive test, which wasn’t revealed until a few days into the process.

Since then, however, multiple Lakers have been in and out of the lineup, so it’s been challenging to navigate it all.

Because this situation is fluid, this tracker of players and staff currently in the protocol will be updated as news emerges:

Austin Reaves

Date entered protocol: Dec. 17

Austin Reaves should be eligible to return soon since it’s been 10 days since he entered protocol.

Kent Bazemore

Date entered protocol: Dec. 19

Frank Vogel

Date entered protocol: Dec. 19

Trevor Ariza

Date entered protocol: Dec. 23

Rajon Rondo

Date entered protocol: Dec. 26
