Lady Vols’ doubles team of Tenika McGriffin and Daria Kuczer lost in the NCAA women’s doubles championship Wednesday.

McGriffin and Kuczer lost to Texas’ Allura Zamarippa and Peyton Stearns in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, in the round of 16 at Kahn Outdoor Tennis Center in Champaign, Illinois.

Zamarippa and Stearns won the NCAA team championship with the Longhorns last week in Champaign.

It was the final match of McGriffin’s career at Tennessee.

McGriffin had six wins against ranked opponents in both singles and doubles this season. She had a combined 153 victories in her Tennessee career, winning 77 doubles matches and 76 in singles competitions.
