For the fourth consecutive time during the 2021-22 basketball season, the Lady Vols have recorded a comeback victory.

No. 16 Tennessee erased a 10-point deficit to force overtime and defeat No. 12 Texas, 74-70, Sunday afternoon at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Lady Vols (4-0) trailed, 49-39, heading to the fourth quarter and closed regulation with a 20-10 run to force overtime.

Tennessee nearly won the game on the final play of regulation, but junior guard Jordan Horston missed a shot as time expired.

It was Horston, however, who would provide the biggest offensive spark for the Lady Vols, who led, 29-28, at halftime. She had a career-high 28 points and totaled 15 rebounds.

Center Tamari Key finished with 10 points, a career-high 18 rebounds and 10 blocked shots, which matched her career-high.

Jordan Walker and Alexus Dye each scored 13 points for the Lady Vols.

Aliyah Matharu led the Longhorns (3-1) with 27 points.
