Lady Riders win 52-40 over Canadian

Feb. 6—The Lady Riders jumped out to a big lead and didn't look back in their 52-40 win over Canadian on Tuesday, Feb. 6

The Lady Riders opened the first quarter on a hot stretch. During the start the Lady Riders were lock down on defense, allowing no field goals and just one point via free throw. During that quarter the Lady Riders put up 18 points to take a commanding lead.

During the second quarter, the Lady Riders continued to play well on both sides allowing just six points. Along the way the Lady Riders did slow down some on offense, picking up just 11 points. Going into halftime the Lady Riders were up 29-7.

CHS came out in the third quarter shooting well. During that quarter they picked up 22 points to cut into the Lady Riders lead. HHS also slowed down some picking up 14 points. Despite this the Lady Riders were up 43-29.

HHS held onto their win to take the game over CHS 52-40.

HHS will be back in action at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8 at home against Haskell.
