Lady Maroons fall in championship game at Daytona Beach

Jan. 2—The Lady Maroons breezed to the championship game at the Daytona Beach Sunshine Classic last week, outscoring their first two opponents 149-51. However, they met up with a tough Lincoln County (Fayetteville), Tenn. team in the title game on Saturday. Their seven game winning streak came to an end as they fell to the team from Tennessee by a final score of 78-46.

The Maroons were led by Sydney Martin with 21 points, eight rebounds and two steals from Sydney Martin, while Madeline Butcher had 12 points and three steals. Other contributors included Maggie Holt with seven points, six rebounds, two steals and four assists and Caroline Heist, Alizabeth Falin and McKaila Monroe all with two points apiece.

Pulaski falls to 12-2 with the loss and will be back on the court on Friday as they travel to Rockcastle County to take on the Lady Rockets at 6 p.m.
