Lady Maroons' dominant in victory over Greenwood

Jan. 29—After losing four of five, the Lady Maroons have settled down a bit and returned back to their winning ways with victories over Elizabethtown and Somerset. On Saturday, they hosted the Greenwood Lady Gators and were dominant for a majority of the contest, downing the Gators by a final score of 65-46.

It was a special game for Sydney Martin, who not only became one of the only Lady Maroon players to reach the 2,000 point mark for her career, but also notched a rare triple double 22 points along with 11 rebounds and 10 steals. She also tallied four assists and a block.

Other contributors included Madeline Butcher with 12 points and six assists, Maggie Holt with 11 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double along with six assists, Brooklyn Thomas with 11 points and seven rebounds, Hannah Murray with six points and Taylen Ralston with three points. Greenwood was led by senior Leia Trinh with a game-high 23 points.

Pulaski runs their record to 16-5 and will be back in action on the road on Thursday as they take on the Trojanettes of Barren County at 7 p.m.
