Following a first-round exit from the 2022 NBA playoffs, the Nets enter a pivotal offseason and could potentially return in the fall with a very different team.

One major decision will come on the future of head coach Steve Nash, who has been highly criticized by analysts and fans but still has the support of Kevin Durant.

The Nets’ roster is also likely in for some major turnover. Bruce Brown, Blake Griffin, LaMarcus Aldridge, Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic are all set to become unrestricted free agents, and Kyrie Irving has a player option for the 2022-23 season.

Irving can make $36.5 million guaranteed next year in Brooklyn, and he said after Game 4 that he doesn’t plan on going anywhere.

“In terms of my extension, I don’t really plan on going anywhere. Like I said, this is added motivation for our franchise to be at the top of the league for the next few years. I’m just looking forward to the summer and just building with our guys here.”
