Kyrie Irving pays homage to the late Kobe Bryant before game vs. Heat

The entire basketball world was impacted by the death of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, which happened one year ago on Tuesday. Of course, among those devastated by the news was Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving, who developed a very close relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

Irving recently expressed on a Zoom call with reporters that he still thinks about his late friend and mentor every day. On Monday, the day before the anniversary of Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s passing, Irving made sure to pay homage to the basketball legend as the Nets prepared to take on the Miami Heat at Barclays Center for the second time in three days.

Bryant’s last visit to Barclays Center came on December 21 when he and Gianna took in the Nets’ game against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks.
