LIZ LOZA: Hey, Kyler Murray. Thanks for joining us. Big week. How are you doing?

KYLER MURRAY: I'm doing good. How are you?

LIZ LOZA: I am great, thank you. I appreciate you being here. I mean, when I think about 2020, like, we learned some new things. We learned some new words. We've got quarantines, and elbow bumps, and Hail Murrays.

But you've been ripping off big plays since you were in elementary school. Some say that you were the best quarterback in high school to come out of the state of Texas. You won the Heisman Trophy. So is the Hail Murray your favorite play? And if not, what is?

KYLER MURRAY: I mean, I guess so. Yeah, it's the craziest play I've ever been a part of. That's for sure.

- Shotgun. Murray out of the pocket. Seven seconds. Six seconds. Murray heaves it down field. It is-- oh, it's caught! It is caught! DeAndre Hopkins!

KYLER MURRAY: It's one of those plays where like, you're never actually in it or never actually see it live. But for me to actually be in it and be a part of one of those plays, it was like, you had to be there. It was ridiculous.

LIZ LOZA: So then what were you thinking when you were in the middle of the play versus when you actually got to see it for yourself?

KYLER MURRAY: We had just given up a touchdown, and we felt like we were supposed to win the game already. Like, the game should have already been over. So at that moment, man, I want to say we had like 15 seconds left. And all that was in my head was give D-Hop a chance to catch the ball.

Just, I can't just sacked right here. It's probably going to be the last play. So let me give him a chance, and he did his thing.

LIZ LOZA: And then when you saw it, were you like, I'm a baller? That was amazing.

KYLER MURRAY: I mean, I've watched it millions of times. Let's put it that way.

LIZ LOZA: From the football field to the gaming chair, you continue to dominate. Over the weekend you were named the Madden Pro Bowl MVP. And I saw you coaching up Bubba there.

- Oh!

- Check slant. Check slant.

[SCREAMING]

- Oh, my!

[SCREAMING]

KYLER MURRAY: Hey! Hey! We coaching! We coaching!

BUBBA WALLACE: You gotta listen to Onk!

KYLER MURRAY: We coaching!

LIZ LOZA: I want to know from your POV who deserves the most style points?

KYLER MURRAY: Yeah, yeah. Probably Bubba. Probably Bubba. I mean, he kind of swindled us and made us think that he didn't know what he was doing. And then like, he just took off. Like, he gave us a big lead, which is kind of what we needed because Jamal and Marshawn really don't play "Madden." So like I said, he gave us a big lead, which was enough to win the game.

LIZ LOZA: What'd you think when Marshawn broke his chair?

KYLER MURRAY: The whole thing was hilarious. Like, the whole setup. Like, I think Madden or I think they loved it, the show we put on. So it was good.

LIZ LOZA: This week's big game, this Sunday's big game is featuring two quarterbacks that a lot of people are talking about. But I want to know who you would prefer to beat in Sunday's big game, and what your prediction for the Super Bowl is.

KYLER MURRAY: Oh, Tom Brady. Like, I mean, he's like the Michael Jordan of the NFL. So yeah, I mean, I think everybody would choose to beat him. Who do I think is going to win? I mean, a tough question.

I think that both teams are great. You know, the Chiefs are obviously the Chiefs. But I don't think I can go against Tom Brady.

LIZ LOZA: I want to hear what you would do as a GM in the 2021 draft assuming Arizona brings back Pat Pete, Hasson Reddick, and Kenyan Drake, what would you like the Cardinals to focus on with their first pick?

KYLER MURRAY: I mean, me personally, I know the game starts in the trenches. So yeah, you get what I'm saying. It's either give me a dog to go get the quarterback, or give me a dog to block Aaron Donald or the guys that are coming after us.

So one or the other is where I would start. But that's just me. I don't make the picks. So that's all I can give you.

LIZ LOZA: You were named the Snickers Hungriest Player of the Year in 2020. That chain-- if you want to hold it up a second that you recievd. Yes. That's worth $60K. But I hear you're donating it to charity. Can you talk about the organization you're giving it to?

KYLER MURRAY: Yeah, got to figure out actually the organization that's going to be. But like you said, yeah, just honored to be named in 2020 Hungriest Player of the year. A lot of our work was put into earning this chain. I couldn't have done it without my teammates and coaches. So yeah, it's a great deal. And getting to donate it to first responders is also a great deal.

KYLER MURRAY: Thank you so much, Kyler. I appreciate you being with us. And good luck this offseason. I hope you enjoy it.

KYLER MURRAY: Appreciate it. Thank you for having me.
