Kyle Lowry scores zero points in Raptors' Game 1 loss to Magic

Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors entered the playoffs with a brand new slate but no one would fault you if it felt like history repeated itself again.

Lowry, who has been criticized by many for his struggles during the playoffs, posted one of the worst showings of his career Saturday, failing to record a single point during the Raptors’ 104-101 loss to the Orlando Magic in Game 1 of their first-round series. The veteran point guard went 0-7 from the field, and 0-6 from three-point range with the Magic providing him with plenty of open looks during the second half.

Lowry finished with a team-high +11, adding eight assists and seven rebounds in the losing effort.

It’s completely fair if you don’t want to buy into the sometimes unfair narrative of “Playoff Kyle Lowry,” but after a dreadful offensive performance against the underdog Magic, one has to wonder if Lowry will be able to overcome his shooting woes through the duration of the series.
