Real Madrid locked horns with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 24th minute when Vinicius Jr. found the back of the net. Carlo Ancelotti’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Leroy Sane equalised for the home team in the 53rd minute before Harry Kane completed the turnaround just four minutes later when he scored from the penalty spot. However, Real Madrid equalised thanks to Vinicius Jr.’s penalty in the 83rd minute. The match ended with Los Blancos earning an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena.

LB: Ferland Mendy – 6/10

Mendy was tidy with his passing but failed to make a difference in the final third.

RW: Federico Valverde – 6.5/10

He was full of energy at the centre of the park and passed the ball well from midfield.

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – 6.5/10

Tchouameni was a positive influence on both ends of the pitch.

CM: Toni Kroos – 8/10

He earned possession back a few times and managed to engineer some promising chances for others around him. Kroos ended the game with an assist to his name.

Rodrygo caught the eye at times in the final third but failed to register a goal tonight.

He made two driving runs with the ball but there was no goal for him.

Vinicius Jr. managed to score in both halves and deserves to be named the man of the match.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga – 6/10
