Kourtney Kardashian Got the “Rachel” Haircut and It’s Giving Us Serious ’90s Flashbacks

Another day, another major celebrity hair moment—and this time, it comes from Kourtney Kardashian. After years of sporting her signature long hair, the reality star surprised us all when she got a dramatic chop, taking her lengths into a short bob. Since then, she has given us major blunt bob moments, a blunt black micro-fringe, face-framing layers, and countless slicked-back buns. Now, the eldest of the Kardashian siblings has served once again.

Kourtney has debuted a new choppy hairstyle on Instagram and it’s one of our favorites yet. In a short video clip posted by the family’s go-to hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons (who is also the genius behind this look), Kourt’s hair has a lot of volume in the roots, loads of layers, and plenty of face-framing feathers. Sound familiar? Yep, her hairstyle is very much serving a modern take on “the Rachel,” the iconic look of the ’90s.

The Rachel skyrocketed to popularity after Jennifer Aniston sported the mega-choppy hairstyle in Friends while playing her legendary character, Rachel Green. Ever since, it’s been a highly requested haircut in salons. But as well as giving us Rachel vibes, anybody else also getting ’90s supermodel glam from Kourt?

Just last week, the reality star posted a picture of her hair styled in a sleek lob without any sign of all those choppy layers, so we’re going to hazard a guess that she may have cut it too. Here’s what it looked like before:

Last year was all about sleek, blunt ends, but this year, we’re looking toward choppy, multilayered haircuts for autumn—and we couldn’t be happier about it.

Now I just need to practice getting the hang of those viral hot brushes on TikTok so I can get flicky, bouncy layers like this too….
