What you need to know about SausageFest 2022 in Indianapolis

SausageFest returns for the 18th year at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic this weekend.

"Our parishioners and school families, along with our neighbors in Butler-Tarkington and beyond, have made SausageFest an amazing late summer celebration where all are welcome, and fun is had by everyone," organizers wrote on Facebook.

All SausageFest proceeds are used to maintain the buildings and grounds at St. Thomas.

Here's what you need to know about SausageFest 2022:

When is SausageFest?

Festivities are from 5:30 p.m. to midnight Aug. 19-20.

Where is SausageFest?

The festival is at the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 4600 N. Kenwood Ave., Indianapolis.

How much are SausageFest tickets?

Admission is free.

Will there actually be sausage?

Indeed. Sausage from L.E. Kincaid and Sons meat market.

Will SausageFest have other food?

Looking for something other than sausage? All good, the event will have sides dishes from Illinois Street Food Emporium, pizza from Byrnes, and snacks and sweets in the Snack Shack.

Will alcohol be served?

Yep. The 21 and older crowd can choose to enjoy ice-cold beverages from Sun King Brewery or a selection of vino in separate beer or wine gardens.

Is there anything for the kids?

Young and old. The festivities include bouncy houses, a dunk tank, games and face painting. There also will be a separate chaperoned party lot for teens with a DJ.

What is the music lineup?

Friday: Fabulous Sausagekings, Doghouse Grove, Supercosmic, Sidewalk Souls, Meat Monster.

Saturday: Ziliak and the Lilac Band, Starlite Lounge, Lani Williams, Half the Neighborhood, Streaker
