What to know about the Cotton Bowl: Ticket info, Alabama football's opponent for CFP semifinal

Alabama Crimson Tide football is back in the College Football Playoff.

The defending national champions will play their semifinal at the Cotton Bowl game in Arlington, Texas.

Who is playing in the Cotton Bowl?

Alabama, the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff, will play Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl College Football Playoff semifinal. Kickoff time has not been se on Dec. 31.

Where is the Cotton Bowl?

The Cotton Bowl is not played at the Cotton Bowl anymore, but at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Capacity is 85,000.

What about tickets to the Cotton Bowl?

Tickets through the bowl game are sold out, according to the bowl's website. StubHub and other ticket resellers also will have tickets via the resale market. The bowl's preferred ticket reseller is SeatGeek, and the cheapest ticket available as of 11:15 a.m. Sunday is $237, not including fees.

The university's deadline for donors, season ticket holders, former players, students and faculty to order tickets has passed, and the school's website says that people that have applied for CFP tickets will be notified Monday.

What else should I know?

Parking is recommended to be purchased before the game if done through the bowl game, and the cost is $50. The bowl website also has guidelines on tailgating outside of AT&T Stadium. Also, the venue has a clear bag policy identical to most NFL stadiums.
