Knights hang on, end Lumberjacks' season in 8-4A quarterfinals

Mar. 6—ST. MICHAEL — The Bemidji High School boys basketball team hung tough with second-seeded St. Michael-Albertville in the Section 8-4A quarterfinals on Wednesday night.

The seventh-seeded Lumberjacks' season ended with a 69-60 defeat in St. Michael. Jaxon Boschee led BHS with 25 points, followed by Braden Luksik with 14. Austin Riewer (eight), Kobe Brown (seven) and Charlie Zellmann (six) rounded out the scoring for the Jacks.

Jeremiah Johnson led all scorers with 26 points for the Knights (13-14). Hudson Hochstedler (20) and Jordan Holm (15) also ended in double figures.

Bemidji (11-15) graduates Luksik, Dawson Oelrich and Sam Gish.
