Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian linebacker Eriq Gilyard revealed his top three schools on Wednesday: UCF, Kentucky and NC State.

Several weeks ago he posted a top six that also included Maryland, Michigan and Virginia Tech.

Gilyard is UCF's No. 1 middle linebacker and overall defensive prospect. Gilyard, who is being recruited by tight ends coach Sean Beckton, has already visited campus a couple times.

What stands out the most about UCF?

"I like the coaches and the love they show me and my family," Gilyard said.

Rated by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 16 inside linebacker, Gilyard plans to announce his commitment Oct. 1.
