The Knicks signed second-year NBA point guard Jared Harper to a two-way contract Wednesday. Harper, 23, was a rookie with the Phoenix Suns in 2019-20.

The Suns waived Harper on March 14. He spent most of his first pro season as a G-League player with the Northern Arizona Suns, averaging 20.8 points and 5.7 assists in 30 minutes over 33 games (all starts).

At the NBA level with the Suns in three games, Harper totaled two points over eight minutes. Harper declared for the 2019 NBA Draft after his junior season at Auburn in 2018-19, but he was not selected.

Harper played for the Suns' 2019 NBA Summer League team in Las Vegas and earned a two-way contract with Phoenix. As three-year starter with the Tigers from 2016-19, Harper averaged 13.5 points and 4.8 assists in 29.5 minutes over 106 games (104 starts).
