Knicks’ OG Anunoby undergoes elbow surgery, will be re-evaluated in 3 weeks

On a day where the Knicks received the most national praise in recent memory — due to their maneuvers at the trade deadline — some negativity surely had to creep its way in the door.

OG Anunoby underwent elbow surgery to remove loose bodies in his right elbow and will be re-evaluated in three weeks, the Knicks announced on Thursday.

Anunoby has been out since Jan. 27 with elbow inflammation, now we learn that the injury was a bit more serious than originally thought.

The 26-year-old was averaging 15.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 14 games since being traded from the Raptors to the Knicks.

This is a developing story. Check back for details.
