OK, so the ranks of the players who don't enjoy the sleeved jerseys the NBA's teams are wearing on Christmas Day includes not only Dirk Nowitzki, but also New York Knicks point guard Beno Udrih:
I'm not sure what's worst about this: that this wasn't Udrih's first off-the-side-of-the-backboard shot of the first half against the Oklahoma City Thunder, that none of his first three field-goal attempts even got rim, or that this might not even have been the worst shot the Knicks have taken in the last week.
I am sure what's best about this, though — that Udrih immediately thought to redirect blame to the sleeves, which would make total sense ("This fabric is so restrictive!") if only the Thunder hadn't managed to shoot 60.5 percent from the field in the first half en route to rolling up a 14-point lead over a Knicks team playing without injured star Carmelo Anthony. Better luck next time, Beno. In multiple senses.
