Klopp on Diaz's return, Endo and 'interesting' Brentford tie
Jurgen Klopp has spoken to the media before Liverpool's Premier League game against Brentford.
Here are the key lines from his news conference:
Klopp said "we were there but not there" in Liverpool's last Premier League outing at Luton.
He added: "When you watch it back there was one team who should have won the game and that’s us. We didn’t use our chances. We were not at our best and now we have the chance to put it right again."
Wataru Endo has always been "very important" in Klopp's eyes and the manager says "he will definitely start games in the Premier League".
Klopp said Trent Alexander-Arnold is still an option in midfield but stressed: "If we put him there we lose one of the best right-backs in the world. We should not forget that."
On Luis Diaz's return against Luton, Klopp said: "For footballers and people in general, the team you are in is the safe place. This group was very together before that [his father's kidnapping] happened."
Klopp praised Brentford and the work done by Thomas Frank: "Sensational set pieces, really offensive players, really fast, counter-attacking really good."
He added: "It’s always interesting to play them and difficult as well but it’s Anfield and we should use that."
