Along with helping the Golden State Warriors seal a 3-0 lead in their first-round series against the Denver Nuggets, Klay Thompson also rewrote the postseason history book on Thursday.

With a 3-pointer in the third quarter, Thompson passed legendary sharpshooter Ray Allen for the third-most made 3-pointers in NBA history.

With a game-high six 3-pointers in game three, Thompson now sits with 388 made triples in the playoffs. Thompson only trails his fellow Splash Brother Steph Curry (481) and LeBron James (432).

Philadelphia’s James Harden and Brooklyn’s Kevin Durant are the only two other current players in the top-10 for the most made 3-pointers in playoff history.

Thompson finished game three with 26 points on 10-of-18 from the field and 6-of-13 from beyond the arc. The five-time All-Star added two blocks, an assist and a rebound in 37 minutes.

After two seasons without playoff basketball, Thompson has drilled 14 3-pointers through the first three in the opening-round series against the Nuggets. Thompson is shooting 45.6% from deep to start the playoffs.

Thompson will have the chance to push his made 3-pointer number up the latter on Sunday in game four against the Nuggets in Denver.
