Despite the early 2022-23 NBA season struggles, Klay Thompson still is excited thinking about the potential the Warriors' young players have.

Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and James Wiseman all were expected to play significant minutes off the bench this season for the Warriors, and all three have experienced early-season struggles through Golden State's first 14 games.

Warriors guard Klay Thompson joined Chris Mullin, Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond on NBC Sports Bay Area's "Run TMC Takeover" broadcast of the Warriors' 132-95 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night where he reacted to one of Kuminga's dunks.

"One of the best athletes in the NBA, 20 years old, there's so much good basketball ahead of him," Thompson said. "So I just get butterflies thinking about what these young bucks can become."

Kuminga finished the game with 15 points, three rebounds and two assists on 5-of-8 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from 3-point range in 24 minutes on the court, and the young forward continues to see extended minutes in coach Steve Kerr's new rotations.

In 26 minutes of action, Moody scored 11 points with two rebounds and four assists on 4-of-9 shooting from the field and 2-of-5 from 3-point range.

Wiseman, however, continued to struggle. In just nine minutes on the court, the 21-year-old center scored two points with two rebounds and two assists while recording a plus/minus rating of minus-4.

Immediately after the game, Kerr announced that the Warriors were sending Wiseman down to the G League for an extended period of time in a move that will give the young center plenty of reps and minutes before eventually re-joining the Warriors' rotation.

Thompson and the Warriors remain patient with the three youngsters and, despite plenty of ups and downs, are excited about what the future might hold for each of them.
