Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins didn’t even crack the top-15 at his position in Madden NFL 23.

Not kidding.

The upcoming EA Sports video game ranked 15 other quarterbacks ahead of the three-time Pro Bowler, including Matt Ryan and Ryan Tannehill.

Never mind the fact that Cousins is coming off a Pro Bowl season. Never mind that he threw for 4,221 yards, 33 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. Never mind him coming into the 2022 season with one of the most talented offenses in the league and an offensive guru turned head coach in Kevin O’Connell.

Cousins still failed to crack the top-15 at quarterback with an 80 overall rating.

But there’s no better get-back than going out there and proving the critics wrong, right? An argument could be made that there has never been more in place for Cousins to succeed at the NFL level.

This could be the year for him to take back respect and get the losing Vikings back to Super Bowl contention.
