Kim Kardashian just made the decision to file for divorce from Kanye West, and the end of her marriage has reportedly been an emotional experience for her. A source tells People that Kim spent this past weekend with her family, saying, “Although Kim and Kanye have been separated for months, it was still emotional for Kim to actually file for divorce. She spent the weekend taking care of herself and her kids. She is spending time with her mom, sisters and hasn’t been working. Everyone is supportive. Kim feels very lucky to be surrounded by her big family.”

Apparently, Kim is “disappointed” that she and Kanye “couldn’t figure out how to stay married,” and while there’s no drama between them, a source did say that “it takes two people to create a happy marriage. Kim has felt Kanye is not willing to do the hard work and compromise.”

As for how Kanye’s feeling, a source previously told the outlet that “he knew it was coming, but that doesn’t make it any easier. This is a somber day for him.” Apparently, Kanye is talking to counselors and advisers to help him navigate the split, with the source saying, “It’s rough for him, and he isn’t happy, but he’s resigned to reality.”
