It's championship weekend in Lexington, Kentucky.

Six football teams will be crowned KHSAA state champions between Friday and Saturday. The Louisville area will have its eyes on two games in particular: Christian Academy vs. Bardstown and Male vs. Bullitt East. CAL is going for an undefeated season and seeks its third title (first since 2018) and first in Class 3A. In 6A, Male is in its fifth straight championship game but hasn't won since 2018, and Bullitt East is riding a team-of-destiny aura it hopes ends with its first Kentucky state crown.

The Courier Journal will have you covered all day Saturday with previews from those two games, features on some of the stars and live updates from noon to the final whistle of the 6A championship. Bookmark this page and refresh it regularly for the latest news, scores and highlights.
