Some NBA writers and sites have reported that the Phoenix Suns were out of the Kevin Durant trade sweepstakes.
But some new odds for the NBA superstar's next team indicate that those reports may have been premature.
OddsShark recently released odds for where Durant could end up, if he doesn't remain with the Brooklyn Nets and the Suns came in second in the odds behind the Boston Celtics.
It had Boston at -175 to trade for Durant and Phoenix at +350.
The Golden State Warriors were at +450, followed by the Toronto Raptors at +550.
The Portland Trail Blazers, at +800, were fifth.
OddsShark had the New York Knicks at +1200 in its odds to land Durant in trade, with the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers each at +1400.
The Los Angeles Lakers (+2000), Oklahoma City Thunder (+2500) and Chicago Bulls (+2500) rounded out its odds.
OddsChecker also recently released updated odds for Durant's next team and the Phoenix Suns were second in odds to acquire the Brooklyn Nets star, at +350.
Only the Boston Celtics, at -175, had better odds to trade for Durant, according to the site,
The site had the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors each at +400 in its odds, with the Portland Trail Blazers rounding out the Top 5 at +900.
It included seven other teams in its odds: The Memphis Grizzlies (+1200), Clippers (+1400), Knicks (+1600), Hawks (+1600) Lakers (+1800), Thunder (+2200) and Bulls (+2200).

Interestingly, in OddsChecker's previous odds, the Suns had been at +700 to trade for Durant, behind the Celtics (-200) and Warriors (+350).
The Miami Heat had been fourth, at +750, with the Trail Blazers fifth at +900.
The odds are in contrast to recent comments made by several NBA writers and analysts, including Fox Sports' Chris Broussard, who said that the Suns were out of the sweepstakes to land Durant.
"Guys aren't listening to me. I'm not saying it's 100 percent, but where is he going," Broussard recently said on FOX Sports' First Things First. "We see teams dropping out every day. Phoenix is out. Miami is out. Toronto is out. What's the deal to be made?"
Where in the world is Kevin Durant going?

Speculation surrounding Durant and the Suns ran rampant since it was reported that the star had requested a trade from the Nets and had Phoenix as his preferred destination.
The speculation cooled after Phoenix matched the Indiana Pacers' offer sheet for Deandre Ayton, taking a valuable trade chip for Durant for the Suns off the table.
But the latest odds seem to indicate that Phoenix isn't quite out of the sweepstakes for Durant, yet.
Could the Suns still find a way to get the NBA superstar in Phoenix?
