Kevin Durant reacts to his near game-winner in Game 7

Kevin Durant delivered another historic performance in Game 7 against the Milwaukee Bucks, hitting a game-tying deep shot in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter to force overtime – yet Nets fans will always be left to wonder what could have been if Durant’s foot was just a few centimeters further away from the hoop.

When Durant hit his clutch shot in regulation of Game 7, he was barely stepping on the three-point arc when he elevated. Durant joked after the game that if it wasn’t for his big foot, the Nets would be in the Eastern Conference Finals right now:

After the game, Durant reacted to being so close to ending the Bucks’ season.

“I thought it was a trece, but my big [expletive] foot stepped on the line. I was just seeing a little screenshot of how close I was to ending they season off that shot. But, it wasn’t in God’s plan, we move on. It was a solid shot, but I hit way bigger shots than that.”

If only Durant’s foot was shoe size smaller, we would be talking about his heroics rather than the what-if. The 32-year-old finished the game with 48 points, the most ever scored in a Game 7.
