Kyle Wiltjer has dual American and Canadian citizenship, which probably means something (but I'm not sure what) when select teams from each country face off as they prepare for the Olympics.
Wiltjer has sided with his Canadian half for international basketball purposes. On Sunday, his 17 points and two free throws with less than a second remaining gave Canada's national development team a 75-73 win over the U.S. junior team.
"It was a great team effort tonight," Wiltjer said (his Canadian experience has not changed his interview habits, it seems). "For me, it is always fun to play against the USA since I live there. The guards did a good job of making good passes down the stretch and finding me when I was open. We got some good calls down the stretch which also helped.”
Think Wiltjer's making the right move by getting international experience, or should he have stayed on UK's campus this summer? Weigh in on the House of Blue.
