"Fall camp," as generally defined, is over.
Preparation for the first game of the Mark Stoops era has begun.
Mark Stoops said Wednesday's practice consisted of "cleaning up some things" from camp and focusing on corrections from Kentucky's second fall scrimmage.
Wednesday night, he said, the staff would begin preparing the game plan for WKU.
While UK still has plans of its own to solidify -- both Jalen Whitlow and Maxwell Smith are expected to play, Stoops has said -- they're planning for a team that beat them last year and also has a new coach in Bobby Petrino.
Stoops said the staff would be watching last year's WKU film to get a sense of the personnel as well as film of Petrino and his coordinators from previous years to get a sense of their systems.
"They're both outstanding coordinators, and they've had a lot of time to put new packages and new wrinkles together," Stoops said of WKU's staff. "So it will be somewhat of an unknown. I think both of them have some staples that they've done throughout their career and been very successful. So we'll have to prepare for a lot of things."
