JON ROTHSTEIN: Hi. This is John Rothstein for Yahoo Sports. What can the blue bloods expect next season in college basketball? If you're John Calipari in Kentucky, you can expect as usual a tough flight recruiting class. The Wildcats 2021 recruiting class is headlined by a pair of top flight freshmen in Terrence Clarke and BJ Boston. But as we saw last year, it may be more about who returns for Kentucky next season versus who comes in.

The Wildcats are planning on losing both Ashton Hagans and Tyrese Maxey as well as Nick Richards to the NBA. But the key player to monitor over the next couple of months for Kentucky is Immanuel Quickley. If Quickley and also EJ Montgomery return, they should give Kentucky the type of seasoning around Terrence Clarke and BJ Boston that it will need to be a major force in college basketball.

As long as John Calipari is the head coach of Kentucky, the Wildcats are always going to be talented. But when Kentucky is talented and experienced, that's when they're a real problem. That's your early prognosis for Kentucky for 2020-'21. I'm John Rothstein. This is Yahoo Sports.
